NYC Mayor Bloomberg Considers Chris Daggett Endorsement

Mayor Bloomberg Considers Chris Daggett endorsement

Rumors are fly all around the internet of a possible endorsement of Independent Candidate for Governor Chris Daggett by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg after Politico first broke the story.

Asked if Bloomberg could back Daggett, a mayor’s adviser said: “Nothing ruled in or out.”

Can Chris Daggett Actually Win New Jersey?

Short and simple Chris Daggett Can Win New Jersey and Here’s Why:

History does have a funny way of repeating itself and Jesse Ventura was elected governor of Minnesota almost 11 years ago to the day under almost the exact same circumstances

The Political Wire reported several days ago:

First Read notes that “11 years ago, almost to the day, a new poll came out in the Minnesota governor’s race showing third party candidate, Jesse Ventura, sitting at 15%. At the time, just like here in New Jersey, all the buzz in Minnesota was about how Skip Humphrey and Norm Coleman were beating each other up, while the national climate, by the way, wasn’t good for either party as we were in the midst of the impeachment mess. Ventura, of course, in about three weeks time, went from polling in the low-to-mid teens to winning the race outright. All the ingredients are there for Daggett in New Jersey: both major party nominees have upside down negatives; 40% believe Christie is NOT honest/trustworthy while 48% believe the same about Corzine. The national climate has a ‘pox on both houses’ feel to it.”

“Now, New Jersey isn’t Minnesota and Daggett has NO money to penetrate the NYC media market (which the latest Quinnipiac poll shows is a key weakness; he’s stronger in the Philly market). But a break here (say a big endorsement from a well known/respected politician) or a break there (some sort of disastrous new scandal hitting either Corzine or Christie) and the floodgates could open. Daggett’s VERY close to being seen as a credible alternative in political terms. Bottom line: there’s too much volatility in the political landscape both in Jersey and nationally NOT to take Daggett VERY seriously as someone who could actually win this thing. Stranger things have happened, isn’t that right Governor Ventura? Governor Schwarzenegger?”

Now lets fast forward to today. The Star Ledger just endorsed Chris Daggett. That is real big news considering its the largest newspaper in NJ. Chris Daggett clearly won the gubernatorial debate. The latest poll shows Daggett has 18% of the vote, which is much higher than Jesse Ventura had in Minnesota 3 weeks out. Now today rumors are flying all around the internet that Bloomberg is about to endorse Chris Daggett. And the latest polls show that voter’s are disenchanted with both Major Candidates, Chris Christie and Jon Corzine.

The implications of an endorsement by Mayor Bloomberg

If Mayor Bloomberg does endorse Chris Daggett, it would send a shock wave across the entire garden state and the country.  It would be a wake-up call to all of the corrupt bureaucrats that put the agenda of special interest and their political parties above the needs of the citizens. Undoubtedly the Mayor will put his neck on the line to endorse a Chris Daggett.  He will have the face the reality of  having to deal with either Corzine or Christie for the next few years on the other side of the Hudson. And that is all the more reason he should make the endorsement and send a strong message to Trenton and Washington and show the voter’s of New York that he is not a government tool and has the guts to stand up for what is right.  If something isn’t done soon to fix the monopolistic broken two party political system the stability of our government and nation will soon be in peril.

Personally, I am keeping my fingers crossed that he makes the announcement and soon. The citizens of New Jersey are fed up with the widespread scandal and corruption that has plagued our state. Only the voter’s have the power to change the government and it will take strong and bold actions by the media and our public leaders to get voters united to take a stand against the blight. If something isn’t done soon the exodus of residents, businesses, jobs and income from our state will leave our economy as a mirror image of Michigan’s.

  1. The Star Ledger’s endorsement of Chris Daggett is great news. I wish the republicans would stop the Bush/Rove Fear mongering. There is obviously a consensus that a vote for Daggett is not a vote for Corzine, except among those who use mass psychological terror to promote their own agendas.

Daggett is the only viable candidate and there are many of this who are voting for him because we know he can win and is the only candidate who can change this state. The Star Ledger’s endorsement echoes and re-affirms that Daggett is a viable candidate and can win.

Facts are facts and I don’t know how you can ignore them.

Furthermore, Daggett is now polling at 18% and there even rumors on that NYC Mayor Micheal Bloomberg will endorse Daggett. If Still think Daggett Can’t win then read this to find out why your wrong. 11 Years ago Jesse Ventura was polling in the low teens, much lower than Daggett just three weeks before the election and he won.

I say no to Chris Christie because

    The Chris Christie mafia connections.
Christie’s multiple multi-million dollar bribe scandals.
Illegal campaign finance by Christie and Corzine.
Voting for the lesser of two evils is still a vote for evil.
The Chris Christie style of justice..

I can go on and on about both Chris Christie and Jon Corzine. The skyrocketing cost of living, the Exodus of jobs, residents, business and income from the state, corrupt politicians from my local municipality, to the county court house, to Trenton all the way to Washington.

That’s why I refuse to vote Corzine or Christie. I am Voting Chris Daggett and so should you

Only voter’s have the power to change the government. We must refuse to be held captive to the broken two-party system that has brought a plaque of scandal and corruption into our government by fear of voting for a third party. Its time to send a message to politicians in NJ and all across the country. Its time to end politics as usual.
